a walk in KASSEL with 20 pictures
Do you know Kassel?
Hey Hive Family
let us travel the world again
today in Kassel
My walk
Today I did a walk around the upper part of the Wilhelmsallee and the trainstation Wilhelmshöhe
Around the Stadthalle
The Stadthalle in Kassel is a prominent event and concert venue located in the heart of the city. With a seating capacity of over 3,000, it hosts a wide range of events, including concerts, conventions, and cultural performances. The modern architecture and excellent acoustics make it a popular choice for both local and international artists. Additionally, its central location and proximity to other attractions make it a convenient and accessible place for entertainment in Kassel. Looking forward to see a nice rock gig on my next visit at the Stadthalle.

Where people have more than just a home
A nice public garden „GARTEN PROJEKT AUF DEM HUTTENPLATZ“
On an approx. 1,280 sqm large, unused lawn, the Huttenplatz in Kassel's Vorderen Westen, a fascinating urban community garden has been created in the middle of our neighborhood. The garden is located in a centrally located residential complex dating from 1915, below the Stadthalle/Kongress Palais Kassel.
The project was initiated by the artist group "AND AND AND" in the context of dOCUMENTA (13) in 2012.
The basic idea of the garden is to promote the idea of community, to bring the neighborhood together and to counteract anonymity and loneliness.
The community garden is an open area, you are welcome to look and spend time there. If you would like to garden and harvest with us, we would be happy to welcome you to our group.

How to find Kassel
You might know #pinmapple already. Here you add a map to your post. So did I with this Kassel post.
See the link to the map at the comment section.
Around the Bebel Platz
Today I had my late breakfast at the Bebel Platz, a historically significant square in the city of Kassel, Germany. The Platz / square is located in the heart of Kassel, near the city center, making it a central and easily accessible location for both residents and tourists.
The square is named after August Bebel, a prominent German socialist and politician who played a significant role in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Here you see many Green Spacesand trees, providing a pleasant place for relaxation and a peaceful atmosphere amidst the city's hustle and bustle.
A cool Cultural Hub: Due to its combination of academic institutions, cultural venues, and historical significance, Bebel Platz is a hub for intellectual and artistic activities in Kassel.
Whether you're interested in attending cultural performances, exploring historic architecture, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of a central square, Bebel Platz in Kassel has much to offer to residents and visitors alike.

Yes, Kassel is a nice mix with a lot of history. If you have a chance, visit Kassel during Documenta time, as there is even more art in town.
