Mafalda is the name of an Argentine newspaper comic strip created by cartoonist Quino from 1964 to 1973. It stars the eponymous girl (a reflection of the Argentine middle class and progressive youth) who expresses concern for humanity and world peace and rebels against the legacy of her elders.

Mafalda is very popular in Latin America in general, as well as in some European countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, and Italy. It has been translated into more than thirty languages. Umberto Eco, who wrote the introduction to the first Italian edition of Mafalda, said he loves it "very much" and considers reading the strip very important to understand Argentina. For this reason, it is considered the most important comic strip, and in San Telmo, Buenos Aires, it is the most visited statue by tourists from around the world.

Mafalda es el nombre de una tira de prensa argentina creada por el humorista gráfico Quino de 1964 a 1973, protagonizada por la niña homónima, (espejo de la clase media argentina y de la juventud progresista)​ que se muestra preocupada por la humanidad y la paz mundial y se rebela contra el mundo legado por sus mayores.

Mafalda es muy popular en América Latina en general, así como en algunos países europeos: España, Portugal, Francia, Grecia e Italia. Ha sido traducida a más de treinta idiomas. Umberto Eco, quien ha escrito la introducción a la primera edición italiana de Mafalda, ha dicho amarla «muchísimo» y considera muy importante leer la tira para entender a Argentina y por dicha razon se cree que es el comic mas importante y en San Telmo Buenos Aires es la estatua mas visita por turistas de todo el mundo.
