Sun and butterflies

avatar

The last time when I took my macro lens for a walk, I tried to take photos of some butterflies, but I couldn't do it up close. They were much friendlier today. Maybe the sun and warm day made them lazy, or maybe it was the orange colour of my sweatshirt that convinced them not to run away.:)

The city is building a park in my neighbourhood, and the plot has already been marked. I'm looking forward to it. It's not big, but I hope it will be maintained and beautiful.

I'm excited about you park! Maybe half a decade ago in my old neighborhood they cleared an old lot and turned it onto a park. It completely changed the mood and feel of the area. For the better. I 💚 greenspaces.

They should have started making it several months ago. Maybe it would have been finished by now, but there were some legal problems with the ownership of the land. Right next to this lot are a kindergarten, a school, a college and a large residential area. I wish they had made it 15 years ago. I love greenspaces too...

Those are lovely. That park looks to be asking for some guerrilla gardening. Do zinnias grow where you live?

Thank you very much @coloneljethro!
Around many of the buildings in the area, the people have created wonderful gardens. I hope that this park will be even better and more beautiful. The main road leading to the city passes here. The park will reduce noise and improve the image of the city right from the start.
If you mean these flowers, https://peakd.com/hive-134488/@desro/miholjsko-leto-indian-summer yes, they grow and there are plenty of them in many gardens.

Yep, those are the ones! I grew some for the first time this year, was surprised at how much the butterflies and hummingbirds liked them.

Why wait for them to sort out the legal issues? Just sow some seeds and wait for spring, get a head start on the green space :)
