My Wednesday walk and the silence of Skobelevo

Hello, Wednesday Walkers!
Today I will share with you my walk through a bulgarian village that has existed since the 10th century and is located at the foot of Stara Planina. Its name is Skobelevo, named after General Skobelev who once stayed there during the Russian-Turkish war.

Many sights can be visited around the village itself, many mountain lovers start their route right from Skobelevo. At the beginning of the village, there is the Damascena Ethnographic Museum, which combines a museum, an ancient technique for distilling rose oil and many other attractions.

I went in this village with a friend who has a house in the village and keeps bees in her yard to produce honey..I couldn't look at the house or anything in it because I was chased away by a...very very angry bee! I sprinted across the yard, passed the house and made it all the way to the street to save myself!!

And thus banished the idea of ​​a walk around was born.. I paid special attention to some of the buildings. This one, for example, had quite an interesting plaster.

And this small building later my friend told me that it was once a shop..a pitiful sight

I continued my walk a little outside the village in the nature where I came across a memorial plaque made in honor of those who died in the Russo-Turkish war.

This stone wall was built at least 150 years ago..

Just meters from the village, you can visit the ostrich farm and the Alba campsite, and if you enter Stara Planina itself, the sights are endless - peaks, waterfalls, reserves, fortresses, huts...
