This winter has been really great for how much snow we have gotten. All of the ski resorts here in my area have gotten nearly 600 inches of snow, which is the highest in all of the US.

As much as I hate driving in the snow, it has been so good that we have gotten so much this year. I am hoping that next year we have a similar winter with lots of snow. Maybe then our water levels will get back to normal ranges.

It is cool to wake up to a inch or two of snow because it makes things look so cool outside. It reminds me of being a kid and going sledding and having fun outdoors during the winter. When I was about 12 years old, my friends and I would spend all day outside in the snow building forts, jumping from trees and landing into snow piles and just having fun together. It really was a fun time.

It was fun to take my camera outside and get some shots as the sun was about to come up. I used my 70-200mm lens to take these. It's always fun to experiment with a new lens and use it in ways that you normally don't use it. I have gotten lazy when it comes to experimenting and shooting in new ways. Hopefully I can get back out there and just take pictures for fun again.

The photos look great as always my friend. I always love snowscapes. When I came to the village this winter, I was planning to go to the high parts of the mountain to take pictures of the landscapes, but things didn't go as I expected and there was an earthquake. Now there is only snow on the mountain peaks and all the snow inside the village has melted.

I like how you tried out your new lens. 3rd photo is my favorite.

Thanks homie. Hopefully things in Turkey calm down a bit so you can get back to having fun. I hope you are and your girlfriend are doing well.

I really like that 4runner photo; so stylish.
I live and work in the South and the sun burns me every day, sometimes I wish the days were this snowy.

Thanks man. We lived in the south for a while and I really got sick of the heat. It's been nice to get up north a bit where we have all the seasons.

Do you have studded winter tyres or do you use snow chains in this kind of weather?

Certain areas, like canyons, require chains during the winter, but my house isn't at an elevation that requires it. I stay off the roads after a storm until they are cleared. I am done with driving when it's crazy.

I'm not usually a fan of snow, but your pictures have me changing my mind!

I am living in a country where we never experience the snow season, so I always feel happy whenever I see blogs like this sharing a random day during the winter. Thank you that I got to witness such a cold season happening there.

Anyway, there's this moment when I also felt like I was losing interest in doing photography and taking cool and fun shots. But I still find a way to get back, and I know you will too. 📸

Have a great day!

We haven't gotten as much snow like this since I was a child here. Hopefully we continue to have good winters because we could really use it. It's a good excuse to get outside with the camera.

We have so far had very little snow in Missouri and it's actually been pretty warm for our area. On top of that, we always take the month of February to go south to Florida to soak up some sunshine so I've yet to see more than a dusting of snow it seems. But the snow season still has a few opportunities so we'll see what comes the next few weeks. Love the photos.

The last time I was in Missouri during the winter was a little over 20 years ago for boot camp and there was a ton of snow and they had to close everything on the base for a day or two. Hopefully you guys get some moisture this winter.

It gets annoying sometimes, but overall, it is nice to have these seasons and see the landscapes change

Wow, 600 inches is a crazy amount. They have been getting really worried about how the snow levels have been dropping over the years at ski resorts here in Europe.

That sucks. Hopefully you guys get some good snow there soon. The weather around the world has been wild this winter.

I love snow but what makes me pissed off is not knowing what season is when because we had such a late winter in the past few years which affects all the other seasons and it's really not fun to dress like winter in spring, like summer in autumn and so on ..

Beautiful! There is something so "natural" about looking out over a snow-covered terrain... a sense of rest.

Such a beautiful captures! Love the framing… of the details. 😎
It is indeed good to experiment especially with new equipment.
