We have hit the halfway mark in flowering

Day 30 of Flower

break.png

It's been almost two weeks since my last update on my Granddaddy Purple. She is halfway through her flowering stage and she is doing great.

She has started to plump up and over the next 30 days she will continue to fatten up her buds. One of my favorite things about growing this strain is watching the buds fatten up. GDP has been known to be a heavy yielding strain and I am so glad because I am beginning to run low, so it will be nice to refill my stash.

GDP has been my goto strain for night time use and sleep. It has helped me really get better at yoga and recover from all the workouts that I have been putting my body through. Cannabis has been a real life changer for me.

The canopy is pretty nice. I've worked hard on getting the branches spread out pretty evenly and I don't have any spots where the buds are a lot taller than the others.

It will be nice to watch these buds really fatten up over the next 30 days. She has two or three more feedings before I cut off all nutrients and force her to suck up everything from the soil and the leaves.

This next month is going to be pretty cool to see how she does. One thing that sucks about having a netting is that I can't do a proper flush. Plus with her being in a 10 gallon pot, she is going to be too massive to move around to a place where I can flush the soil. Oh well, not the end of the world.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out my grow update. Growing my own cannabis has truly been life changing and I can't wait to get more GDP in jars.

That’s one thing I hated about the SCROG. Pulling the plant/s out. It is like a puzzle if you do. I would not worry about it. In fact I think this is a great experiment for you. Flushing is a controversial subject in growing cannabis. Some swear by it, others say it’s a myth. It will be great for you to see for yourself, which is the advantage to growing your own.

Looking killer man!

Who knows. It could be a myth. I haven't been able to flush many of my plants because of netting. Maybe I will try it with one of my next plants and leave the other and see if there is a difference.

Looking really good man.

She has some really deep colors and looks super healthy. My take on the flushing is that it's not as necessary if allowing for enough time for the plants to use up the nutrients. Those nutrients are like a precious resource, so I let other plants suck up the run off when possible.

Love what you did with the photos, they look great, can't wait to see the upcoming plumping :)

Thanks man. Hopefully she soaks up all these nutrients to the last drop and gets massive.

The way we see that 30 days is a long time and now they are getting more beautiful and the way we also see that you have worked hard on them and watered them in time. And all the other things taken care of are therefore becoming so beautiful.

This looks very good
The plants look healthy but if I may ask, why do they have canopies?

The canopy refers to the top layer of branches and leaves that spread out and blocks the light to anything below it. You want an even canopy for the best light distribution because stuff below the canopy level wont get enough light for proper bud development.
