Getting fat in the final weeks

They are swelling

The last few weeks of a cannabis grow can get pretty exciting. The last couple weeks, the plants tend to swell and really begin to fatten up.

I have so much new growth popping up each time I go in the grow room and check on the plant. It really is cool to see all the hard work and time paying off in these final weeks.

I have about 17 days left before she will be ready for harvest. In the next two weeks, I will really begin to pay attention to the color of the trichomes so that I can harvest her when she has the highest levels of THC.

When the trichomes are milky, that is when the THC levels are the highest, but I also like to let about 30% of the trichomes to turn amber as well.

I use cannabis for a lot of pain relief. When the trichomes begin to turn amber, the plant is converting some of the THC in the trichomes to CBN, which gives a lot more of a body high, giving me the pain relief that I am after.

I am really enjoying the purples that are coming through. Fall is in the air and that means the temps can get lower at night, and the lower temps can really pull out some cool colors in the different strains.

Hopefully these images display without any issues. Some of them had problems uploading using Peakd and Hive.blog. I tried changing nodes, but still had the same issues with a lot of them. So not sure what is going on. Hopefully the image servers can be a little more stable moving forward.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my post. I can't wait to harvest this beast and begin the drying process before the long trimming process. I am expecting quite a bit from this harvest and I know trimming will take me quite a while to finish. I am excited to grow some Northern Lights autos after this one though. It will be fun to grow some quick turnaround plants after what seems like forever of growing this one.

Just beautiful! What difference would you expect to see between this 'snowy' plant and one doesn't have those crystals?

Never mind. I found the answer:

I use cannabis for a lot of pain relief. When the trichomes begin to turn amber, the plant is converting some of the THC in the trichomes to CBN, which gives a lot more of a body high, giving me the pain relief that I am after.

Sorry about your pain. If I were a real guru, I'd send you some healing waves. Prayers is the best I can do :)

The "snowy" stuff are actually the trichomes and where you get the high from. If the cannabis plants do not have any trichomes, then they won't do anything for you. They only get trichomes during their flower cycle.

I can almost smell those close-up photos. Awesome work, looks to be worth the effort put into it.

Unlike coffee that tend to act as stimulant, Canabis tend to work as relaxant in my system.

Is it that am not using it well or I am using the wrong one?

You could be using a strain that is more of a relaxing one. Each strain has its own effects.

Pictures uploaded well. I do encounter the same issues when trying to upload photos. Personally i find these plants most beautiful after full bloom jist right before harvest like you have shown here.

Ya, it seems all of them uploaded just fine. I did have to reupload a couple after the post published to ensure they were visible.
