Finally some nice weather for exploring

Such a nice day

The weather here is finally starting to feel like spring. It has been over six months since the temperature has gotten up over 70 degrees. It feels so nice to be outside in the sun and not having to deal with the cold gloomy winter weather.

Over the past couple years, the area I live has exploded with new construction and there are so many streets I have never been on, so on my way to do some shopping, I decided to go out exploring one of the new neighborhoods.

I dont really like driving through the new neighborhoods that much because a lot of the construction workers are pretty careless and leave so much in the road that can mess your tires up, so you have to pay close attention to all the crap in the road and not run over anything.

There is some pretty cool construction in this neighborhood. They have a little park area that is going to be pretty nice once it is all done, but I am sure their HOA fees are pretty high to cover the cost and maintenance of all this stuff. I am not a fan of HOAs and hate their rules and the stupid fees associated with them. Just about ever neighborhood in my city has an HOA and the fees can get out of control. Luckily our HOA fee is only like $35 and that covers all the maintenance on our parks and walking paths. We used to pay nearly $500 a month in our old home just for HOA fees and I hated it.

This new area seems to have some pretty cool walking paths in it that go along the Joran River Trail.

It is going to be interesting to see how much this river floods. I hope the new houses in this area dont have any flooding. My area is up a bit higher, so we should be fine once all the snow melts off. We do have a canal that runs along a walking path near my home that has flooded in the past, but it shouldn't affect my home.

It will be interesting to see how much higher this little river is going to get. It curves around my city and is near a lot of homes, so hopefully it doesn't get bad. This summer is going to get pretty interesting.
Fab images, I have read so many tales about HOAs, they sound as though they can be a nightmare. Luckily we have very few in the UK
HOAs are the worst. They have the dumbest rules.
It's nice to see a more rural side of USA as we normally only see the bling bling big cities photos.
What's HOA?
HOA stands for Home Owners Association. It's basically a bunch of stupid rules that everyone has to follow in the neighborhood and they can fine you if you don't follow them. They do take care of some things, like grounds maintenance in public areas, but they are a pain and it is nearly impossible to live somewhere that they don't have control. They can make rules about how yards are supposed to look and colors of stuff in the yard. It's pretty stupid.
Yay! 🤗

Thanks. It is finally nice weather. Hopefully it doesn't heat up too fast for summer.
This kind of weather has its own fun when the cold air is blowing, here in Pakistan summer is starting.
The photos are beautiful. The weather here is completely spring. When I see the flooded areas, I feel sad

Hello @derangedvisions , hope to find you well. I have a question about the photography lovers community rules. I'm writing posts focused on telling my travel xp on pinmapple community. Also, i have bunch of others pictures that i didn't include in the post to not make it much longer. So, my question is: it's ok to post some of those others pictures here on the community with 'photography eyes approach' content? or it can be considered reusing content?
