A car lover's dream

The car meetup this past weekend was so cool. There were so many awesome cars. So many of the cars that were there were cars that my son had worked on in his shop as well.

My son either did wraps, paint correction or put a protective layer on the paint of so many of the cars there. Like this Shelby GT500. He told me that the lady that owns this car buys a new high end model Mustang each time they come out with anything new. She had a whole garage full of them and they barely ever make it outside, so to see this one there, it was pretty cool.

I don't remember exactly what made this model of the Shelby GT500 that rare, but this model of it only has a small handful of them that were made. The owner of all these Mustangs is just holding onto them as collector pieces or something and will probably sell them at some point when they are even more rare.

Lamborghini makes some of the coolest looking cars. My son loves working on these because of all the sleek lines that they have. He said that they are some of the best designed cars that he has ever seen.

This Lambo belongs to my son's shop and they offer it as a rental to people. He told me that there is some NBA player that has this one rented for later in the month and is paying around $15K for the time he wants to rent it.

This white Lambo is a lot newer and more expensive than the one that the shop owns. I really like the lines on this one. It just looks like it is ready to eat any car that wants to race it.

I would love to test drive one of these. I am going to have to talk to my son and see if he will let me drive their Lambo. My daughter is graduating high school this year and my son is planning on driving her to graduation in their Lambo or one of the other exotic cars that they own.

It will be funny because the last car that my son had during high school was an 80s model RX-7 that had a massive V8 engine in it. That thing was so loud and it was a death trap. It was stupid fast and had about 500 horsepower in a tiny car. So for him to show up to graduation in a Lambo will be pretty cool for him because most of the people he graduated with are off doing church stuff and he is out in the real world making a lot of money.

I really like the lines on McLaren's and they look even better in a matte black paint.

I think if I were to ever get a supercar, it would be a Corvette. I have always loved the way they look and the new models just look so mean.

I don't really know anything about the BMW supercars, but I really like the lines on this one.

I guess if you don't want to deal with an exhaust out the back, cutting a hole in your hood and shooting a pipe straight up works. I just thought this was pretty funny. I bet the car is fast, but this exhaust setup is pretty stupid to me.

I really love the way that the new Supras look and I thought it was cool to catch these two passing each other like this. Sometimes waiting in one spot for a cool photo to appear is worth it.

This G Wagon is another one of the vehicles that my son's shop owns and offers as a rental. I don't really know anything about these, but they do look pretty cool.

My son talked to the owner of this old Buick and they are going to be bringing it into his shop so my son can make the paint on this perfect.

This Datsun was pretty cool. I normally hate these cars and my son loves them, but I really thought this was was awesome. The super fat tires offer a small glimpse into the power that this car can produce.

This Lexus really isn't anything special, but they did have a pretty dope sound system that was bumpin some old school hip hop.

This Lexus on the other hand is pretty mean looking. I almost bought one of these a few years ago, but I didn't want to pay for the high octane gas. If I would have bought it, I would have been struggling when gas prices got super high.

I am not a fan of Tesla anymore. My son said that they are build pretty shitty and the panels have odd gaps in them because they don't ever line up correctly, but I thought this one was pretty funny because they stuck a fake battery in the front trunk.

Man, I love this wrap on this Lambo. It looks straight out of a vide game.

It was pretty cool that a few people in the offroad scene showed up to the event. Of course they had to show off their rock crawling skills by parking on some boulders.

The suspension on these are so expensive. I would never want to own one of them because they seem break a few things every time they go out offroading.

@whangster79 here is your NSX. I was headed to my car to leave when this one passed me, so I didn't get any cool shots of it.

Man, this McLaren is so cool. I think I will want my super car to be yellow and black like this.

Well, that is it for the cars. These aren't the normal shots I would take, but I brought my 70-200mm f/2.8 to take photos, so I was testing out a few different ways to shoot. It was a ton of fun shooting with this lens. I did a bunch of photography of people there too, which I am going to share in another post.
