RE: Strawberry season

Strawberries are absolutely worthy of having their own post!

We've been growing them for a long time, and strawberry season is always exciting around here. Of course it's a bit of a crapshoot whether we have a good or a bad season but we love them none the less.

I can't exactly tell from the pictures but are you using wood shavings rather than actual straw? Seems like a good idea because it would disintegrate slower than traditional straw, and keep the berries cleaner.
