Experience I had with my family.
Hi dear members of the community of friends and family, I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the days with family and friends. All thanks to the inventor and innovator of camera who has enable us to capture pictorial evidence of the sweetest moment we have had and always brings this cute smiles in our faces when we view and reflect how beautiful we spent our life. And also a big thanks to the creators of hive who has given us this medium of opportunity to save and share our stories with the world. My last post was about my self introduction where I formally introduced my self as Sadiq Abdulwasiu Mohammed. You can call me Abdulwasiu or by my nickname Deking and I am here again with so much enthusiasm to share my experience with my family which am always proud of. Bellow this text is an image of me and my siblings. I am the one on eye glass, beside me is my immediate junior sister named Rafiyat, a journalist in African Independent television currently working in Abuja and beside her is the last fruit of my mum who is always acting like the eldest of the house. He is a Mechanical engineering student in his final year. This picture was taken after our Eid'el Kabir celebration 2020.
Here is my beautiful mum Memunat. She is headmistress of a local government school in Kabba, kogi state(North Central), Nigeria. She has really contributed morally, financially and spiritually in my life. She has always been a great pillar of my life and am super proud of her any day anytime. It's always funny to me as my mum would always love treating me her first child like a last born. In a day she could call me on phone more than 10 times. Hahahaha... It got to a point my girlfriend became jealous of her immense love and care for me. She has always been a neutralizer of my father's hot temper on us the children.
And here is my dad a retired Engr. Sadiq Omeiza Muhammed. A very supportive loving father who has raised me to be a good Muslim and has given me the opportunity to school in one of the best schools in Nigeria. I call him an enforcement officer of the house. He is a very disciplined man and has always ensure his children gets the best. He is not a photogenic kind of person,so whenever I want to take a picture of him, I take him unaware. And this picture was taken on the day of my sister marriage. As the first born of my parents, my father has always ensure I love, care and protect my younger ones. When he noticed anything bad happened to my younger ones especially my sister when am around, he would always scold me and sometimes thrash me. This was how I developed strong bond of love and care for my younger ones.
It's so Funny to me now when I think of the past how my sister and used to be but very annoying back in the days. When my sister and I was a kid, she got to know how important my parents has placed her to me so she became very stubborn to me. During my primary and secondary school days I used to walk very fast and that's what makes my school mates call me pilot. Hahaha... I could cover a distance of 30min by normal trekking in just 10mins. That even made my school mate to always compete with me immediately after school and still win them. LoL...they usually tell me to teach them how to walk very fast. I am very good in walking very fast but not good in running fast. hahaha... u are surprised right?? I was too when I had a racing competition with the best 4 of my school mate and ended with a 4th position out of 5. I can't walk slow and if I do, I feel pains in my legs. My sister on the other side is very slow in walking I could remember when we were in primary school coming back home after school dismisses and every effort I made to make her walk fast but she is always reluctant and wasn't patient enough so I left her behind and got home. My dad thrashed me so hard and sent me back to go and bring my junior sister. When my sister saw me crying as I was coming to meet her,she became so happy and began to walk very slow feeling like a princess. LoL. It was so annoying then. She is so troublesome that she began to make trouble with bullies in primary school then run to me when she is been chased to go and fight for her. I was a very scared of troubles. I know if I don't fight to protect her and anything happens I will still be thrashed by my parents. So I had to force myself to fight the guys in defense of my sister but they overpowered me and I Went home with a swollen face. Hahaha. My parents had to cautioned her. I hated my sister so much that her present irritates me. As we grow much older in secondary school where my dad registered me in a borden school and she was still in a day school. As months pass, I began to miss her so much and when I get to see her during holidays, it's always filled with joy. Same thing happened as we went to a separate university. Sometimes during weekends, I do give her a surprise visit in school. This got me to understand what my parents use to tell that i won't value what I have until I loose it some day to see how valuable it was to me.
And here are my lovely cousin sisters. They are both happily married with kids. The one that took us the picture is Zainab a professional chef and I love visiting her home mostly because of her delicious food. Hahaha... I love good food so much and she knows how to entertain her visitors. It is always fun having her arround. The lady next to her is Shamsiyya, she is a jovial person into clothing business. She has a convincing way of marketing her goods. If u are not strong enough to resist temptation, you might end up spending all your salaries patronizing her goods.
By my right here is my cousin brother Yusuf a gym instructor who is always obsessed with fitness and by my left is Mustapha a recent licensed Doctor who graduated as the best in his Department of Medicine and surgery with a first class. Aside his work, he loves movies just like I do, we would always compete who would first download the latest Hollywood action movie. It use to be fun in those days when I visit them.
Here are my cute nieces and sister. One of the most important thing u would notice in me is that I love children so much. I love playing with them and seeing them so happy gives me joy. I love surprising them with either gift or my visit. They do call me best uncle which is so sweet to my hearing and makes me feel entitled. When I don't come visiting for long, they would always cry to their parents to call me to come visiting them again soon. My tender nature to them made me discover their Flores and make some necessary correction. And it's so amazing how they would always remind their self whenever one is doing the wrong thing that "best uncle said we should not do this again".
This was the time that my most loving sister was about to be wed to her chosen husband and we had to organize a little bridal shower for her which her friends and sister from far distance graced her with their presence. It was so fun and a day to remember as they party hard. It was full of laughter as we watch how 2 of her friends makes a funny dance.
Hahaha... If u don't know me well, looking at the picture, u would think am the groom here.
Here is she and her husband at the center and others are family and friends.
Here are also my wonderful late commers friends who graced the joyous ceremony with their presents.
Hahaha...9 months later, the secret hardwork of my sisters and her husband yield a handsome baby boy. I felt so proud holding my own immediate junior sister's baby. When I look at the baby observing the striking resemblance with my sister, I would say Allahu Akbar meaning God is great.
Am Sorry all, this was a mistake. This post was supposed to be in family and friends community where I added the community I wanted the post to appear and after my write up I made a mistake in making appreciator as the first tag instead of family and friends community. I would ensure to avoid such mistake from occuring again. Thanks.
