But FIRST, we have a CALL OUT of some of the most antiquated colonial period behavior on Hive that has NO PLACE in what is supposed to be a community where ALL PEOPLE are FREE to benefit from their labor and not just pass it up the line for others' speculative crypto dreams to come true.

Since @nonsowrites was brave enough to write it, I'm brave enough to lead with it as editor, especially since I am a descendant of Africans enslaved in the United States who were not allowed to benefit from the labor of building a whole nation up, and then were resented in freedom for being able to build for themselves in the nation they did a whole lot of work to build in the first place! There are indeed certain people on Hive who seem to begrudge the people of Africa and Latin America the margin of survival Hive has provided them in three of the most difficult years in modern history for the world. That's a short-sighted, bigoted view, not accounting for human realities or who has kept the chain active and lively through the bear. Hive is more than the speculative dreams of the few in countries where people have resources to speculate with BECAUSE OF unjust enrichment on the backs of Africans and Latin Americans in the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and down to the mid 20th centuries. Hive is where the many around the globe are able to FREELY and FAIRLY bring their labor and have the community reward THEM as it sees fit -- without regard to ethnicity, color, or creed. I realize that is still NEW to some ... but that is why the reminder is important. We are not in the old model on Hive if its promises are true AT ALL!
