So, let's talk about creating an embodiment for this beautiful straight gown. I had a little bit of challenge on deciding the best way to craft out the ruffles that was attached to the dress. It has been a very long time I did something like that, let's say about six years ago when I was still an apprentice. But after carefully examining the style that the customer sent to me, I came up with an idea but the other challenge is to know the right vendor that will execute the idea for me.

Immediately I picked my phone up, I called the man that makes my button holes and he said he can do wiring work (the idea). So he helped me to put wires inside the shiny face satin to create the ruffles.

Ruffles make female dress look more elegant and feminine - it gives it that sexy look that every girl desires. I attached the ruffles to the neck part of the gown using needle and thread to tack it. It runs across the neckline all the way back, passing through the two arms. The process of tacking the ruffles to the gown didn't take too much time. I was able to get it done in less than thirty minutes. It was easy for me as the dress was on a mannequin.

Materials needed

  • Shiny face satin fabric
  • Rubber wire
  • Needle and thread
  • Scissors

The process of creating this ruffles is not so difficult if you know you way around using your weaving machine very well. The man that helped me to work on it used his weaving machine to insert the wire that inturn gives the fabric a spiral ruffle look. The only task I had to do is to use needle and thread to attach it to the bustier.
