The sky began to fade, letting the golden light of the twilight sweep the stretch of rice fields and trees along the wet dirt road. Slow footsteps, along a rocky road that leads home. The evening air feels warm, accompanied by the sound of crickets that began to hum.
In the distance, the sunlight that almost sank pounded between the trees, reflected its rays on the electric cable that stretched in the sky. The light is like guiding, giving a reminder that the house is no longer far away.

On the edge of the road, a simple house stands, roofed zinc that has begun to be dull by time. An old satellite dish attached to one of the houses, a silent witness to the increasingly late day. Banana and wild banana plants grow around, as if they want to welcome anyone who crosses this road.
The water in the rice fields sparkling, reflects the increasingly faded orange color. Footprints on the wet ground are proof of the journey that has been taken, perhaps by farmers who have just returned, or children who run this afternoon.
Dusk continues to creep, carrying a peaceful atmosphere that can only be felt in the village. On this road, under the evening light, going home not just returning home, but also returning to calm, to memories, and to the hearts of miss.
