Trying to Not Give Up

St Pete Beach Area

There was a group meet-up for photographers and models this past weekend down in St Pete Fl that I had attended. I was like great, its a 3hr drive hopefully some fresh faces away from the drama of my local community. Boy was I wrong. I had someone from my local community show up and make snarky comments about the lens I was using.

My model and I left that event rather early and found this little beach area and decided to do photos there.. USING THAT SAME LENS I GOT DISSED FOR USING by that other local to me photographer. Here are the results!

Iso 100 ◆ 114mm ◆ F5.6 ◆ 1/800

The gripe I believe was, I was using a zoom lens. Which I feel I made the best decision in the given situation as it's a fast pace environment and my prime lenses are manual focus vs my zoom which is auto.

Iso 100 ◆ 63mm ◆ F5.0 ◆ 1/1000

It's not necessarily the equipment you use. I know math, I know science, and art theory concepts. I couldn't have had a better shoot with said lens. These photos came out spectacular!

Iso 100 ◆ 55mm ◆ F4.5 ◆ 1/320

I was also asked by someone else if this tree was real! Smack my head. Yes the tree was very real. We're in Florida and we have old trees and we get hurricanes and major storms. Trees do fall over exposing the root system.

Iso 100 ◆ 55mm ◆ F4.5 ◆ 1/800

I was also able to use my fine art editing style on these which made me excited!!

I really did want to give up with his snarky comments but I didn't and sought out to prove him wrong..

What lens do you shoot with? What do you think?

Don't forget to support me if you like my content!!!

Have a blessed day...
