A Forgotten Town!!!

The Town of Island Grove

Located in Alachua County, Florida sits an abandoned town with fallen building's. Once thriving now letting nature reclaim it.

These photos are a few years old but I still love them to this day!!!

The photo above was the towns church. It sits unstable and trying collapse in on itself. Its over 150 years old!

Here we have an old Florida Cracker house. Nature surely has reclaimed this!

This was another house that had burned down. Left by its owners and not torn down.

Here is another angle of the burned down house. It sits right beside a railroad track that is still active today!

This was an old timber mill. It also sits beside the train tracks. Can you imagine trains stopping here to load up supplies to transport?

Here is a look inside the lumber mill. It has plenty of remains left and I believe it was once used as storage after the mill closed down!
