Given that the majority of castles these days are concrete monstrosities and don't have as much to fear from fire, I think our buddy Shachihoko has a pretty care-free life and just enjoys the view. It is a pretty nice one, there in Osaka!

but even some of those "concrete monstrosities" can be quite interesting - like the Osaka one or the one in Aizu Wakamatsu. But yes, the Shachihoko should have quite a relaxed life these days. Fortunately there aren't too many fires in Japan's castles recently, except the devastating one Shuri-jo in Okinawa
