The conveyor - Lightpainting on Hive

(Edited)

Hi there,

Another post about one of my recent trips under the surface fo Earth.

This is a location I visited hundreds of times before. A place where we built our own room back in the days which is still in good shape, respected by other underground marauders who gave it a name^^

This time it was a photoshootng session so no time to chill.

During our long walk, we saw this conveyor used to carry crushed pebbles when this place was used to grow mushrooms. We took half an hour to clean the surroundings and do a couple of pictures here :

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.

The place looks scary, but perfect for taking some cool photos.

It could be scary only if you're afraid of the dark and/or claustrophobic. And it's perfect for lightpainting session as you have constant temperature, total darkness and you're protected from rain/snow/wind 😉

I'm not claustrophobic, thank God :P

And it's perfect for lightpainting session as you have constant temperature

Why do you need constant temperature? I know very little about the process.

I don't need constant temperature, but it's really convenient during winter or heatwaves

The quarry is in the suburbs of Paris, I won't tell more to keep the location away from vandals & scavengers.

Ha, expected that already. But I know about these underground things in Paris.
