The crossroads - Lightpainting on Hive
Hi there,
Another post about one of my recent trips under the surface of Earth.
This is a location I visited hundreds of times before. A place where we built our own room back in the days which is still in good shape, respected by other underground marauders who gave it a name^^
This time it was a photoshootng session so no time to chill.
I took lightpainting pictures of this location a couple of times before but results were always disapointed. I'm not 100% happy about those new ones but they're better than the previous ones.
Let's start with something really common, something I never do usually :
This one is a failure, as the steelwool left the kitchen whisk right after Flavien started spinning. It looks like a fire puke :
Last one is not successful too, as I put way too much light on the wall behind the abstract light calligraphy :
Successful results are the sum of all failed attempts aren't they? 😁
Lightpainting created in real time, captured to the camera in single photographic frames. SOOC
No layers /no Photoshop / no editing except minor adjustments (lens correction profite, WB, contrast (+12)) and addition of my logo.
Gear :
Canon EOS 6D body
Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS II USM lens
Canon RC-E6 IR remote
Zomei carbon tripod

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
