Emeline (part 3) - Infrared Photography on Hive

Hello Hive!

Some photoshootings take a different path than expected, for the the worst or the best.

Emeline contacted me a couple of months ago on Instagram : she poses casually for photographers and, after seeing pictures of mine online, she asked me for a collaboration. She lives in Marseilles now but born and raised in Nantes. Her family still lives here so she often comes back.

It was really tricky to schedule a session as she's really busy with her work (she starts a physiotherapist career and she runs her own business) and the weather is really poor in the west of France this year. But, as always, we managed to make it happen. We chose the Jardin Extraordinaire as it was extended during spring, it was a good opportunity to see how to work with the new part.

Emeline came with few clothes (thanks Gosh, she didn't bring a luggage full of crappy stuff) but with a lot of energy. At first sight, I was immediatly caught by her shiny smile and her very intense look.

The first minutes of a daylight photoshooting are usually a bit weird as we don't know each other and we need both time to break ice. Emeline started to tell me that she was a high-grade gymnast when she was younger and she suggested to explore that way. Wel...why not? A lot of models say that as they see a lot of pictures I do with dancers but usually it's a dead-end as their skills are long-gone or very very low. Not that time! Without any warm-up, she made a perfect grand-jeté 😎
