Any day is perfect for enjoying a good cup of coffee, but there are other moments when coffee is not just drunk, it is observed. This white cup holds the best freshly brewed drink, resting calmly on the stone, the dark coffee keeping silent while a small shadow appears at the bottom. This is not just any shadow: it is soft, natural, created by the daylight falling slowly on the cup, giving a very positive feeling.

The coffee was hot, so it was steaming a little, but while I was taking the right photograph to capture that shadow, it was cooling down, so there was no rush. The shadow is very soft, but powerful, as it draws new contours on the cup, on the saucer, on the stone, all at the same time. The weather was quite cool, reminding us that time continues to pass, even though we are still for a moment, appreciating that effect.

Cuál cualquier día es perfecto para tomarse una buena taza de café, pero hay otros momentos en los que el café no solo se toma, se observa. En esta taza blanca tiene la mejor bebida recién hecha, que está apoyada con calma sobre la piedra, el café oscuro guarda silencios mientras una pequeña sombra aparece en la parte de abajo. Esta no es una sombra cualquiera: es suave, natural, creada por la luz del día que cae sin prisa, sobre la taza y da una sensación muy positiva.

El café estaba caliente, por eso humea poco, pero mientras tomaba la fotografía correcta para cazar esa sombra, se estaba enfriando y por eso no había apuro. La sombra es muy suave, pero a la poderosa, ya que dibuja contornos nuevos sobre la taza, sobre el plato, sobre la piedra, todo al mismo tiempo. El clima estaba bastante fresco, la cual nos recuerda que el tiempo sigue su curso, aunque nosotros estemos quietos por un momento, apreciando ese efecto.

Having the opportunity to enjoy a coffee like this, where there is sunlight and shade, becomes a small ritual that is very different from what one is used to. What's more, there is no noise, no screens, just the contrast between light and dark, and a large number of plants in the background that add the finishing touch to this special moment. So the coffee awakens, the shade calms, and together they create something unique.

Sometimes moments like this are missing in life: having a hot cup, a little sun, and the peace of mind of knowing that, even though the shade is there, there is always enough light to enjoy the moment.

Tener la oportunidad de tomarse un café así de esa manera, donde haya luz del sol y sombra, se vuelve un pequeño ritual muy distinto a lo que uno acostumbra. Además, no hay ruido, no hay pantallas, solo el contraste entre lo claro y lo oscuro, y una gran cantidad de plantas en el fondo que da el toque final a ese momento tan especial. Así que el café despierta, la sombra calma y juntos crean algo único.
