Shadow hunters SMASh contest 375 - between dreams

Recently, my sleeping pattern has been varying from intermittent waking up to half falling asleep. I can't really describe why and how this feel. Its not like I'm having insomnia during the covid lockdown where work pressure keeps me awake and the worry of the vaccine that makes me think if i closed my eyes, i will never be able to wake up again.

This time around, it feels more like i have some physical limitation, preventing me to fully rest myself. Somehow after 2 or 3 hours after i have initially closed my eyes, then my conscious coming back to life. I can hear my wife snore, i can hear the train passing by, i can hear the dog bark. I did some study online, sometimes its the memory residue that makes us "think" we are hearing something in our dream, we just need to keep our eyes closed, and eventually it will go away(falling alseep again). Guess what, i heard the dog bark, i open my eyes, i hear the dog is still barking, and i look at the clock, its 1:12am 😅 should i congratulate myself catching myself not dreaming of the dog bark?

I know I know, the theory of waking up from the dream that connects to the reality. Trust me, i have tried to "continue with the dream", forced my eyes shut until i have a feeling of "this should be around the time my alarm set off", so when i purposely get up and see, its usually within 5 minutes before the alarm goes blaring 😅

Do you have this sort of thing bothering you? What do you do to overcome this? No i don't want any medication to fix this as we all know medication will only turn this shit into a downward spiral of addiction. Anyway, sorry for the long rant. Let's get back to shadow hunting.

Malaysia is currently having ASEAN summit. Many of the important roads are blocked for the safety of transporting "heavy" politicians from our neighboring countries. I don't usually get my morning sun, but today i purchased a Metro day pass, so I'm getting a lots of sun burn 🤣

This doesn't have any shadow, but i like the marbeling wall surface and the highly reflective floor indicator. This was taken at the client's office.

They are newly moved in to this office and i like the lighting setup a lot, and its really soothing for my eyes. Not dark, but just bright enough to see my screens without the blue light blasting my eye balls.

I sympathize with your sleep issues. I don't have any solutions for you, but for me no sugar or caffeine after dinner time helps a little.

Great shadow photo!

Thanks for the tip. I am limiting my caffeine intake to before lunch nowadays. I am thinking to take it off entirely if this doesn't improve.
