Health insurance thing

As an experienced insurance company staff member, I knew exactly why we can't "talk about" sickness. When it comes to insurance claims, the investigator will find every source of information to decline payout. With the powerful social media, searching for someone's health statement can be a few key strokes away.

I guess I just can't be bothered anymore. The general medical systems are seriously crooked, where profit becomes the first priority in assessing a patient's required treatment. A couple of years ago, when my daughter was diagnosed with H1N1 influenza, proven to be (yet another deadly virus) dangerous to children, the first thing the doctor asked was, am I going to pay from my pocket or using a medical insurance 🤣

Our family already has a small medical coverage I purchased some 20 years ago, and still servicing it until today. I knew with today's medical charges, RM50k (that's like 12k USD) can't even buy me a proper heart surgery with today's standard. With my current health status, it's quite impossible for me to purchase another new insurance product. As a result, I believe I will turn my life into a government hospital.

The work pressure is still piling up despite I am already taking it easy, the boss is still pressing it and pushing for sales. It's mid of April, and by 20th I'm going for my cab driver's license exam. After which, I need to pass the health check before I can apply for the driver's permit. And once I'm out of the company, I'll be officially out of company health insurance.

I know I can't get another new health insurance. My GFR has been getting very low since the last blood test November last year. Kidney function as if I'm a 90 year old man 🤣 there's no way to revert the damage to kidney, and according to my research any attempt to "repair" will induce more damage to it medication will only increase the burden of the filtration system.

The strategy I have in mind, is to do the H1N1 thing for the rest of my life. If I can afford it, I pay from my pocket first, and then reimburse from the insurance company. That way, the blood sucker hospital will charge the "individual" rate, rather than abusing my insurance quota. I'm still taking every step very carefully now and try not to blow it. In the end, we only have a pair of kidneys, if we don't take care of them, nobody else will.

Photos were taken during the weekend run at Desa Park City. This week's weather is quite misty and I enjoyed it very much.

I have lived my life so far without insurance minus a few months here and there where I purchased a month's worth to meet Suriname and Ecuador immigration standards. Luckily I have never had anything major happen, but I have paid some huge expenses for dental work in the USA.

I assume once you're a driver you'll be browsing the market for a private insurance policy, hope you can eventually find something affordable to get the family on down the road.

No insurance will accept me anymore. Sadly, I had an appendix removal surgery when I was 11, and it has gotten into the national medical record 🤣 after that surgery, I have nothing less than 10 hospital admission due to food poisoning related matters. I do have one medical cover of total 50k life time, current balance about 40k 🤣 which I'm still paying monthly 150. Not sure if I should chop it already.

My current best bet is, the government policy, and my tax.
