Army Museum N9 part 3 Final
There's this indoor museum that introduced to the series of director general of the past. I did took pictures of all of them, it will be sad to not properly disclose each individual stories as we should respect their services in the past. However, if I dig into each individual DG history, then I will be writing memoirs for all 11 DGs, which will drag this war museum visit to become Startrek TNG.

So, let's get on with some of these DGs, their nostalgic rides. The first DG and the most recent one will be covered. The rest, I really need to sit down and think whether should I make a grandfather story about them. So, here we go.
Mejar Jeneral Tan Sri Dato' Sir Frank Hastings Brooke

Pardon on the Malaysian made plague, that even changed the middle name for the general 🤪 From here, I'm gonna leave AI do the explanation work.
Major General Frank Hastings Brooke (18 March 1909 – 25 January 1982) was a British Army officer notable for his service as the first Chief of the Army and Chief of Defence Forces of the Federation of Malaya (now Malaysia).
Brooke had a distinguished military career. He served in the North-West Frontier Province before World War II and earned a Distinguished Service Order (DSO). During the Second World War, he commanded a battalion during the Normandy landings and received the U.S. Bronze Star Medal. He became the General Officer Commanding the Federation of Malaya Army in 1956. After Malaya's independence, he was promoted to major general and held the top defence posts until 1959. He retired from the British Army in 1969.
For more details on his career and the full list of his awards, including the Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB), Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), Distinguished Service Order (DSO), Commander of the Order of the Defender of the Realm (PMN) from Malaysia, and the Bronze Star Medal (BSM) from the United States, you can refer to Wikipedia.

The story goes with, communist supposed to kick the invaders out, unfortunately it didn't happen. Since the peace deal being negotiated and agreed, next thing is some of the famous communist flee the country or to avoid being captured for 150k. Back then, the Malaya Dollar is about the same $ to £. I wonder who determine such high price for a wanted profile and who is going to pay for it? 🤪

Alternative to the Suzuki Jimny light weight career, is this Korean version of KIA Willys. Seriously, Malaysian are well known for their superstition, we remove 4, 14, 24 and almost every 4th in every numbering aspect because in Cantonese 4 rhymes with 死, it means death. I wonder if they consider the abbreviation of KIA has a hidden meaning to it? Moreover, this to be used in the army?

A little specification of the little Willys. 60 horse power? Was it on the wheel? Or on crank? With a top speed of 105 kilometers to the hour, I am not so sure what to react. But it's definitely a good looking mini truck. I imagine to put a small block 350 to it and make it a sleeper drag monster 🤪

The legendary Honda Goldwing police bike where many of our young punk imagine one day when we grow up, we would like to be a pulis men so we can enjoy such a touring bike.

Well, that dream were short lift as we figured there's only limited unit of Goldwings and specifically for motorcade and pulis escort service. Why do I spell wrong? Well, that's how the locals pronounce it, "u notti sumore? Later I ask pulisman ketch jiu" 🤣

Nevertheless, the Honda Goldwing is still one of the very desirable touring bike of many middle-aged and old aged boys 🤪 my dad in law still yelling one day he's gonna take a ride on that radical super bike for a publicity tour!

The current Chief of Army (Malay: Panglima Tentera Darat — PTD) is General Datuk Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan, who succeeded General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman on September 6, 2023, who was also appointed the new Chief of Defence Forces (Malaysia) on the same day.
