An old time place

Salak Selatan

Salak South is a south gate of older days where the mining gate is strategic locating here. After many years, things has changed, tin mining is no oonger essential and slowly this town has been localized as a small business hub, with full range of old school business retained here.

We still have two weeks before celebrating Chinese New Year, and the Chinese lanterns are hanging there to remind us this important event.

The iconic Salak Selatan police station and qaurters are one of the icon here. Considerinf such a small cowboy town, the police building almost bigger than the entire town already.

After the police station, taking an immediate left turn ia going to bring us to another connected township, which is way more populated and younger people around here.

Immediately we see more high-rise residential building, condos, apartments, and this place is called Bandar Permaisuri. We will come bac to this town ship shortly.

LRT Salak Selatan

Now on my left, next ro the train station is Salak South, on my eight which is Bandar Permaisuri. Between these new and old township, they shared a same reain station.

During peak hour, this train station will be packed with people rushing to and from work. Its very convenient to commute the way into the city.

The staircase is leading to the Bandar Permaisuri, to allow the train occupants to have a shortcut, for the convenient of using this to get to the commercial area of Bandar Permaisuri.

After which, i drove my way back to where we came from as i am supposed to park the car and walk to the shops and look for good food.

Bandar Permaisuri

Well, my favourite restaurant used to be here, supposedly to have 2 shop lots, but now it had shrunk to one, and they don't have my favorite spaghetti porkchop anymore.

Well, i guess that was all as i have taken these photo to share with a friend who used to live here becore he moved go US. Since the photos are already there, i might as well share this with you here. And hope tou can enjoy this kinda photo roll down piece.

古老市镇的确华人居多,相隔着一条轻快铁轨道的另一边,比较新颖的是王后镇。

That was a nice little tour of Salak South. There are a lot of buildings that look very old in that town, but some of the construction looks much more modern too.

The old part of the town is called Salak South. The newer part of the town is called Bandar Permaisuri(queen's town in English). Between this 2 town are separated by the train track.
