Thunderstorm and Lightning: Before, During, and After
During this vacation, I had the misfortune of getting caught in three thunderstorms in a row, one after the other... While they definitely ruined the days at the beach and the pool, they gave me the chance to capture some interesting photos.
During the first storm, the sky lit up a lot, lightning everywhere. I managed to photograph one decently by standing there for minutes with my phone pointed at the sky, spamming the shutter. Here it is below. First the gathering then the lightnings.
The next morning at the beach, another storm was on its way.
An other night an other storm
And we also got caught in the rain, as you can see from the drops if you zoom in on the tree trunks.
The next day at the beach, the effects of the now two past storms were clearly visible, with a very high tide and big waves—and.
Then yet another thunderstorm rolled in.
I hope you enjoy them!
Nice catch… i tried couple of times to get lightining is difficult
Yep, I been trying a lot of times, that was the only clear catch
Beautiful photos! I like the trees being blown by the wind, the extensive lightning, and those strong waves!
Thank you!
This forest is fabulous, with vibes like magic lives in it. I'd spend much time there with the camera.
I will make later a post with more photos just of the pine forest, it's truly spectacular

Sorry for the misfortune of the thunderstorm during vacation but at least you take good shots!!
Shots with thunders are always great! Less the time at seaside 🤣

Really captivating post—three thunderstorms in a row sounds intense! The photo captures that dramatic tension beautifully. I admire your patience holding the shutter for three minutes to catch lightning—definitely worth the effort. Nature may have disrupted your plans, but it gave you something unforgettable in return.
