Water Flows, Shutter’s Fast

A few more photos of the Marysville cascading falls, located in East Kootenay, British Columbia. Like I said yesterday, was experimenting with faster shutter speeds. The first three were captured at 1/2000th of a second, with an ISO of 4000; which is on the high side, and is when noise or graininess may start to appear. The lens I use has a max aperture of f4, but if I had a wider f2 or f1 then a lower ISO could have been used and thus eliminating any pesky “noise”. At my amateur skill level, I am pretty happy overall with my lens as is. Someday may graduate to a higher end lens, but heh, they don’t come cheap! Thanks for stopping by.

What a strength the water shows! Do people go there rafting?

This stretch of "rapids" is not very long, so likely not (but I could be wrong).

What do you mean by "local boot"?

The one fishermen normally use for fishing.

Maybe the spelling boot is not correct, it is spelled as boat.

Good graphics for that speed I must say. You're just awesome at taking the right pics, have you considered making wallpapers online, like a site for it, it'll be awesome

Very nice images that came out of the experiment! Lenses don't come cheap, you can say that again. Master what you have first is my recommendation before diving into the more expensive stuff. I love the details you picked up there that really would have been missed otherwise. That short shutter speed has some nice advantage!

It is surprising how expensive these lenses can get. Even the one I use cost a decent amount. A wider aperature to let more light in would be nice.

They sure are, but they are also a little just a little expensive! lol
