Here we are at Long Beach, Tofino, Vancouver Island, and the fun is just getting started. Out of the last three beaches we visited, this one probably has the most surfers. Lots of room here to enjoy the waves, after all this place is Long beach. We noticed this large hunk of rock by the ocean, and it did remind me of lava for some reason, but after doing some research it is just bedrock. Naturally we climbed to the top to get the best views. I could see several surfers here and there, and some kids just playing with the waves. Sure glad we stopped here. Thanks for stopping by.

This for me seems the best out of all beaches so far... It's so long and empty

I would have said it was lava too, the shape and color is that one

It was giving off lava "vibes", sure reminded me of our trip to Hawaii.

No, this was a few years back and I wasn’t much into photography at the time.

The black and white tends to bring out the reflection better.

A beautifully composed photo!... That central vanishing point using the shore and the water's foam, the horizon in the upper third, and that sky with some such harmonious clouds... Wow! Truly something to look at for a long time!

Looks like a nice beach to enjoy the waves! Great rock perch you found to take those shots. Vancouver Island just must be part of the continent separated after the rise of sea levels after the end of the ice age. Interesting, there aren't too many volcanoes in Canada!

Any big plans for this weekend?

I know of none in Canada. Closest one that I am aware of is Yellowstone. Someday will need to check it out.

No plans for the weekend just relaxing and trying to get rid of a cold.
