Turquoise Side
Making my way across the Kootenay river to begin the hike to Dog lake. I suppose the trailhead actually began before the river, but that is neither here nor there. On one side of the bridge the river water has a nice turquoise look to it, but on the opposite side the colour is less pronounced, probably has something to do with the angle of the sun. As mentioned before, I have stopped using my smartphone to photograph the outdoors, and exclusively use only my Sony now. A decision that I am happy with. In fact I hardly ever use the iPhone pro anymore, what’s the point?! Thanks for stopping by.

Some part of the area looks very swampy, the side where the water is not completely covering the land areas, but it's a very beautiful place if you ask me. You get to gave everywhere to yourself with no one disturbing you
I was there in September so the river was on the lower side. During June/July it will be much higher due to snow melt coming off the mountains. Would love to come back at that time!
