Trail Aberration
Just before finishing the Dog lake hike, I decided to take a little detour, an aberration. Why not follow the river for a little while and see what the scenery is like? So I did. Always like to explore — off the beaten path at times. What great fun it was, and not another soul in any direction! My own private excursion in the Canadian wilderness. Sometimes hiking in our Canadian outdoors feels so surreal! I am most certainly lucky to live in such a wonderful beautiful country. Thanks for stopping by.

The best adventures are when you stray from your planned route and encounter unexpected natural beauty. I've had this experience on many trips where I didn't know the way. I think Canada's captivating natural beauty was formed over thousands of years by glaciers creating valleys and rivers giving life to the land. The people who live there take good care of the beauty that nature has created over time. Also, the Canadian people are very sensitive about nature conservation. Your photos, as always, look very beautiful and professional.

The path less traveled is often well worth the side trip. You caught some nice shots of the river there, gorgeous scenery. The water looks so pretty and inviting, but I bet it was still pretty chilly as it looks like glacier water. The dead trees that have fallen in the river are always interesting to see, and I'm guessing the stump got washed down there? Great pictures as always!
I'm sure the water was ice cold yes. Even though the temps that day were in the low 80's.
