Tiny Lake Shoreline

As we made our way around this loop hike, a brief deviation from the trail led us to this tiny lake. There were some downed trees here, but not sure if it was due to natural conditions or some human interaction; either way, it did make for some interesting photo ops. That quick detour to the tiny lake really paid off and those downed trees turn chaos into compositional beAUty and and they set a mellow mood.
Kinda feels like the logs just scheduled a group nap, which made the stop extra fun.
Weekend capture for me was a patch of new mushrooms after rain,, perfect for a fast close up.

They do look like they have been cut down don't they? It made for some great shots, you have a great eye! I haven't gone out much this weekend, so no real pictures to take... Glad to see you getting out and enjoying nature, especially as the temps are better and those leaves start to change. Soon those larch trees will be bright yellow again!
