the Butchart Gardens

It’s day five of our Vancouver Island trip. The plan on this day was to drive from Courtney to Victoria, and visit the famous Butchart Gardens. The drive itself is approximately 2 hours, and you have a choice of an Oceanside highway or an inland highway. We chose Oceanside there and return via inland highway. It was another picture perfect day! Highs were reaching 30°C, almost a little too hot for my liking. This garden is open year round and attracts over a million visitors per year! Construction of this garden began way back in 1904, and is currently owned and operated by the Butchart family. The price for entry into this magical place was a hefty $85/person. Wasn’t expecting to blow that much dough on a trip to a garden, but I guess it was worth it, many pics to come. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey daveks, the garden is really beautiful. Looks like worth to spend the time over there, the beautiful flowers and the sparrow.......
Woah 85$??? That's way more than any park here, included parks with rides, are they giving gold tickets??
Anyways it reminds a lot some parks we have here too, a joy in spring, cool stuff
Great shots. How does the garden smell?
