Sunday Stamps ~ National Parks
Canada is a very large and expansive country, so naturally we have a lot of national parks. 37 national parks to be exact! The first $1 stamp depicts “Fundy National Park”, located between Halifax and New Brunswick, on the East coast of Canada. And yes, I had to look this up, as I am not too familiar with Eastern Canada, being a Westerner. Apparently they have some of the highest tides in the world in the Bay of Fundy. Moving on to the $2 stamp, “Kluane National Park & Reserve”, located in the south western part of the Yukon. The Yukon is directly above British Columbia. Highlights are the high mountain peaks and glaciers, boreal forests and lakes. Wow, I’m wanting go there now!
Finally on the 3rd stamp, a 12 cent Peregrine Falcon. This stamp was issued in 1978, as it made the endangered list that year. Since then, it has made somewhat of a comeback, and has now moved to “protected” status. Fun fact: this little guy can dive at up to 320 kilometres per hour (200 mph), one of the fastest birds in the world! Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, very interesting. It turns out that your country has a lot of national parks. Just looking at the stamp, the place is very beautiful, especially if you see it in real life.
I was surprised myself after doing some research on the parks. Such a humongous country, packed with parks.
