Springtime in Banff

DSC08839.jpeg

What are my favourite seasons to be in the Canadian Rockies you might ask? Truth be told, Fall and Summer is best for hiking; therefore I would have to say, it would be those two months. That being said, Springtime is great for photography, but not so much for hiking. On this day, we made our way around the partially frozen shoreline, enjoying the spectacular Spring weather. Afterward, it was off to the town of Banff, where we walked across the foot bridge to Bow Falls. The Bow river was mostly melted at this point and this is where we got in most of our “steps” for the day. Thanks for stopping by.

I remember that small rock with the trees from an other post, it had water then, this one has ice, I gotta say it's cool even with the ice

Every time I go to this lake, I have to photograph that one spot! So cool. Thanks for dropping by.

Beautiful pictures as always mate ..

The monochrome brings a sense of stillness to the scenes..

Agree with you, early Fall is my fave season too.
Winter / Spring is too cold for me, I hate being outdoors for sufficient amount of time, it means suffering for me xD

The Rockies will never disappoint no matter the season, but Fall colors and Summer trails really are something special

Spring is awesome! I love that first picture of the rocky outcrop with the pines growing, how cool! Then the frozen lake in the background. That came out awesome! The second one is pretty good too, you've got a great eye for those "money" shots! What are you doing for the weekend adventure this week?

Nothing extraordinary planned for this weekend, saving my energy for the upcoming trip to Banff, again. Thanks for looking.
