Solo Hiker

DSC00157.jpeg

On the trail here to Dog Lake. Here are a few images captured along the way. Nearly the entire hike to the lake was forested, without any significant views to speak of, which was a slight disappointment. I met some folks from Amsterdam on the trail, we chatted for a bit, then they passed by me. I’m generally a slow hiker, as I’m usually stopping frequently for photos. Hiking solo is probably best for me (just have to be more aware and alert, for safety reasons), then I’m able to go at my own pace. Thanks for stopping by.

How can you not stop to make photos when hiking or traveling around? At least in solo you can do how you please

As always, you've taken some fantastic photos during your hike. You've clearly demonstrated why solo hiking suits you best through your pictures. Observing details, adjusting the framing, and enjoying nature at your own pace are perhaps some of the most important rules of nature photography. Although there weren't many expansive views along the trail, I think the forest has its own unique beauty. And you've captured that beautifully in your photos.

A unique beauty of it's own kind, walking through the forest. A few mountain views would have been nice, but I was satisfied with the hike anyways.

The mushroom really steals the attention, the color and the place where it grows are just right. It really matches the color of the surroundings.

I think I'd prefer hiking separately as well. There's really no way you can stop to enjoy and take pictures of the beauty you see if you're hiking with someone, although some people enjoy the companies of others

Yeah, the pressure is always on to hurry up if you are with others, solo hiking takes the pressure off.

Latest Hive drama: that so‑called “decentralized AI” rollout is pure hype, a unicorn‑cattle‑farm for cash‑hungry scammers. They brag about ‘next‑gen’ tech while the code’s still stuck in a meme folder. The community’s buzzing louder than a busted speaker at a block party, but the actual value? Nil. Shout‑out to @maxwellwho, who actually drops real data instead of vapor—keep grinding, brother. 🚀👀 They’re selling hype like street‑corners sell cheap boots, and the rest of us are stuck picking up the crumbs.

Poll: Is the AI launch just another market stunt or a legit upgrade? Vote: 1️⃣ Agree it’s a scam, 2️⃣ Nah it’s legit.

Very nice pictures! Especially the second picture of the mushrooms. I also agree with you about hiking alone. It takes time and great attention to take pictures.

I don't like to rush when on the hiking trail. Thanks for stopping by.
