Red Rocks

DSC07959.jpeg

Well, wait and wait, but no chance to get a photo without people present. A great spot, but when a canyon like this is easily accessible, this is what happens. This is Red Rock Canyon, Waterton Park, Alberta. Known for it’s very red rock, and very cool it was! There is a nice easy trail which circles the canyon, very family friendly. Located about 20 minutes drive away from the townsite of Waterton, definitely a must do activity if you ever find yourself in the area. Here is a tip though — go earlier then we did! Thanks for stopping by.

You picked a great spot to take a photo, even if you can't take a photo without people. I can see the wonderful parts of the canyons in the photos. People seem to be very interested in these red rocks 🗿

It looks like a very beautiful place to hike, and I'm sure you were in an elevated position to be able to get that those shots.

What a pretty spot, I love the river carving out that tiny red canyon. Red rock is gorgeous, and that little river looks nice and cool to wade in. Glad to hear you're heading out this weekend to the mountains and breathe in some fresh air. Great shots you have in here today!

It will be nice to be amongst mountains again. Been too long, at least for my liking.

Amazing spot. Too bad the tourists wouldn't get out of the shot.

Lots of iron in those hills. Were there any iron mines nearby?

Not to my knowledge.

It’s one of them spots where virtually anyone can go quite easily = lots of people.
