Random Friday & KE Ratio

It’s Friday, October 10th and our Hive flash crashed to below 10 cents today! Looks like Bitcoin was down about 10%, and alts were slaughtered, much like our Hive. On the bright side, Silver closed over $50 US, if I am not mistaken, that is a first. Back to Hive, I have decided that from now on, when curating content, if you have a KE ratio over 3, then I will not upvote your post anymore. We need to control the selling pressure. Also, a lower KE ratio implies a commitment to our chain. If you are unfamiliar with how KE works, basically it is author rewards + curation rewards ÷ by staked Hive. Factz! As predicted. Unfortunately. this makes me have to lower my 2026/2027 target to .05 cents… I knew .10 cents was coming but even I thought not with Bitcoin still above 100K in bull cycle. We gotta go much lower in bear part now sadly.

Wait you're saying it went below 10 cents 🥺 i woke to see it at 14 cents I panicked because I've never seen it that low before. It was much worse 😱 I really hope for a correction or a bounce back and what exactly is KE ratio?
I watched it in real time crash to like 9 cents. Well, like I said it is author/post rewards plus curation/voting (your voting on someone else) divided by how much Hive you have staked. It just shows your commitment to the Hive community and that you are not just selling everything you make overall.

Such nice pictures, that last one is really cool. That lonely bluff in the middle of nowhere... It just draws you in! I don't blame you for not upvoting those with a very high K/E ratio, there are too many who just milk Hive rather than reinvest. Great call on your part!

Whew, I am msafe for now. But I am trying to get some liquid hive for the next bull run or brief hive price spike. I am hoping to increase my Hive power by selling into the price pop and buying when the price drops again.
