Happy 4th of July to all the American Hivers out there! America is 249 years old today, nearly a quarter of a millennium! Wow. Canada turned 157 years old on July 1st (America’s younger brother). What are you doing to celebrate the 4th of July, if you are an American? How about every other Hiver? What do you have planned for the weekend? And do you have an Independence Day or an annual national holiday to celebrate your countries “birth” or confederation? Thanks for stopping by.

We celebrate our independence on 15th August. Whether you party or just enjoy the holiday at home, the vibe of this day is always different. Hope you have a great weekend. :)
How many years since your country gained independence? Thanks for visiting.
Hiya @Daveks, how's tricks?
Loving the photography and great to see your still at it, I was wondering if you knew what happened to the other site weku? I was going through passwords and stuff on this laptop and it was saved into a file, and when I went to the site it was no longer there, thought it was strange as it seemed to be doing well when I was on it a few years ago. any ideas or thoughts? cheers mate

Looks like you will never get tired of the lake... And so won't we! Great shots as always. The birdie is amazing. Any idea what the species is?
It is a grouse as far as I know. Thanks @wnfdiary.
Nice shots, the lake and grouse look great! I haven't done much this weekend except try to recover from my second bout with COVID. I hope you're having a better weekend that I am, I did see fireworks from my backyard. The park nearby has a yearly display, they were nice!
Take it easy...lots of C, Zinc and them "forbidden" remedies.

Beautiful shot of that bird. How did you manage to get it at close range, or was it zoomed?
It is a cropped photo. Thanks to the power of 42 megapixels. Something the smartphones can’t do. Like I mentioned earlier, I think I will cut out the smartphone stuff and just focus with the Sony.
