Ptarmigan Cirque Hike

IMG_20230927_123853_Original.jpeg

This is it! I had been looking forward to this hike for sometime now. Check out them beautiful yellow Larch trees in full bloom. If I would have had nice blues skies, it would have been exceptional! The skies were overcast, so I had to settle for just “good” views. Poor me. Late in fall, we don’t get as many blue sky days, or so it seems at least. The hike up till this point only took about forty minutes or so, pretty easy by most standards. Only a couple hundred metres of elevation gain, so very family friendly I’d say. Dog friendly too. I happened to run across some serious photographers up here. Some with tripod and all, set up to capture the beauty of the Larch trees. I’m not dedicated enough to lug a tripod with on a hike, but maybe someday when I’m retired, and have nothing but time to burn, I’ll give it a go.

The natural beauty that my friends show almost every day makes me very entertained by the beauties that exist.

Those tall trees, are they larch trees? They should be of the pine family. I love the dual colourings, it makes an attractive pattern of yellow and green.

The yellow ones are larch for sure, and as you say, the greens are pine. Thanks for looking.

Great! Especially the first picture looks like a painting. I have not been able to go see the autumn leaves yet, although the temperature in Japan is much cooler and the leaves are turning red.

Exceptional, this view and the colors are flat out amazing in your images. A sight to see on every post for sure. You're so lucky but I have said this to many times but we are all fortunate to get the view from your shots, so that's a good thing.
