Pristine

DSC08244.jpeg

What is the definition of Pristine? According to the dictionary, it is “remaining in a pure state” or “without human alteration”. Well that pretty much sums up this lake, and a lot of lakes in the Canadian Rockies - but not all. For example, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, (located in Banff Park) although absolutely gorgeous beyond belief, the shorelines are crawling with tourists and canoes or kayaks. That being said, if you have never been to either lake, you must go at least once in your lifetime. This is a command! Don’t forget to subscribe to the Colour/Black & White community. Definitely a lot of pristine natural places there... I like the 4th picture the most, it's a great overview of the lake, but also has this perfect reflection

The last colored picture is so beautiful.... I think it seems we have logs of wood lying in the clear water

Some fallen trees lying near the shore yes, a somewhat typical scene really for these lakes.

The best definition I've seen today for: How to compose a landscape with reflections and the horizon at the middle of the frame!...

image.png

This previous photo in color is beautiful, yes... But this other one (below) in black and white is as if "you had painted a Picasso in B&W using a camera"... Marvelous!...

Aww dude, you never stop doing wonders with nature!... Thanks for that!...

What gorgeous water, nice and clear. That's the best thing about glacially fed lakes is just how beautiful they are. Pristine is a very apt metaphor. I love that first one in color, the water is just so pretty. Great job on those shots today!
