Here is a great two and a half hour hike we did after a brief stop at Elbow Falls, which was just down the road from here. Located in the Kananaskis foothills of Alberta. Picture perfect scenery for warm Summer afternoon. Not a whole lot of elevation to deal with on this one, and certainly family friendly. Only one problem on this hike — Bugs. If I could do this one over, and or for our next visit in the future, I’d bring along some repellent or definitely apply more at the get go. It’s funny, sometimes you encounter virtually no bugs, and other times you get creamed! Thanks for stopping by.

I really like all the pictures you took and I've learned a lot about them since coming across your post. I also like going to such places and walking around. I also like hiking very much, but there are no such facilities here. There are such places here, but our government has not taken care of them. They have not been maintained, so going there now is not free from danger.

Oh, that is too bad. Hopefully someday you can make your way to Canada for some epic hiking trips.

Which bugs you meet there? Mosquitoes, flies?

That's some great views, reminds me of the hills around here

I prefer to hike in shorts, making things extra "difficult".

In summer shorts are a must unless you want to overheat 😅

Such a beautiful trail! 😍 I agree, sometimes the bugs are chill, and other times you feel like they scheduled an ambush. Nature really said 'plot twist'

What a beautiful area! It looks like perfect day for a hike and not too horribly steep, great for a family day. I loved how the sun rays shine through on that last monochrome picture, very cool. I'm glad you had a good time out there with your family!

This view of your city is quite beautiful and it is our friends' endeavor to also go to the northern areas of our country to explore similar places in our city.
