Not Waterton Park

DSC08699.jpeg

These photos are not from Waterton park, but from around one of our northern lakes. Today was my last day in Waterton park, round two complete. Round one in Waterton was last Summer; it was so much fun I just had to return again. The plan was to go to lineham Falls, however another hike to lower Rowe lake was also a contender for today. So I drove in, pulled up to the trail head and two cars there. Hmmmm. Not a good sign. Drove to the Rowe lakes trail head (only about 4km away) and 10 plus cars. Switched to Rowe lakes hike. Normally I like to go where there are fewer people, but I also seek the best views/hikes too. Sure glad I did, as I approached the lake, I saw two black bears swimming across the water!! I’ll release all these pics sometime in the coming months when I can catch up. Thanks for stopping by.

I also prefer the best views, if there's a little people that's still OK as long as the view is great... Bears?? Wow! You absolutely must share that pics sooner or later!

Very peaceful landscapes here

So I approach the lake, no one else in sight, just me and the two bears......!!! Thrilling and a little scary..

This is exactly what I need right now ;-)
would love to hike around righ there.

I do like that you show both version. For my taste it will be colors but i do have moments when B&W is the only choice .. so i understand the fascination for contrast and texture .. I do it way to rarely other wise i would have joined the “Colour / Black & White” photography community by now 😎

I had the pleasure in March and hoped for August. Over the past years I would meet up with some north American photographers for the Light Painting Meteor Jam / Perseids. Cancelled that trip, this year. But the geopolitical situation has become a bit backward. We traveled California, Nevada, Arizona etc. people everywhere kept apologizing for what's going on. I think I pause my US travels a bit. Don't get me wrong .. i love your Outdoors ..

Cheers from Berlin

The thing about these areas is that I almost always mistaken just how deep the water really is, and it's not like I want to try and test it too 😂 awesome shots by the way
