North Star Mountain
A few more captures, as we made our way up North Star Mountain at Kimberley Alpine resort, East Kootenay, British Columbia . I originally thought it was called Kimberley mountain, but digging deeper, the hill or mountain is called North Star Mountain. (See, you learn something new everyday!) The elevation gain to the top was about 500 metres. Kinda tough by any stretch. It was a great workout in fact. We had a local gal with us in the lead, taking us to the top via some of the “best routes”. Thanks for stopping by.

The elevation of the hike area is Perry great, looks like this isn't an area that you'll likely come across bears, and it honestly looks very safe for hiking.. great pictures as well.
Well our hiking leader actually was talking about some bears that were spotted in recent days. Never know when the bears come by..

Nice that you went in thinking it was Kimberley mountain and came back knowing it's North Star, and a 500-metre climb with a local guide sounds like a solid workout.

That's a beautiful hike, 500 m elevation gain is pretty respectable. Great job. The local guide was probably nice to take the best trails up, and the prettiest views. Awesome pictures as always!
