Next Hike Rowe Lakes

DSC09935.jpeg

A new day, a new hike. The goal was to hike to Rowe Lakes, where there is an upper and lower lake. But I hadn’t decided yet if I’d go all the way or not, will worry about that later — let’s go! Once again, the soil had a reddish tint to it, thanks to the multitude of iron deposits here and there. Again I did this one solo. 700 metres of elevation gain, and about five hours to complete, hmmm I wonder if I’ll make it to the upper lake or not?! Thanks for stopping by.

That's cool when the iron colors the soil... You got lot of iron there it seems

Amazing photography. If you turn the photos into oil paintings and hang them on the wall, it will give a classic and cool vibe.

Such beautiful scenery, I love that mountain peak in the first shot. The trail looks nice too with all the greenery in the underbrush. It must have been amazing before the fire! That is a lot of elevation gain, not an easy hike at five hours. I'm not sure I would even get close to finishing a hike that intense these days!

Beautiful pictures as always, and a nice big horn sheep!

This was probably my favourite hike in Waterton park, a little long, but full of great scenery and some wildlife too!

The trees, the perspective, the difference between colors and monochromatic. Very beautiful post!
