Moon or Mountain

At a glance, the first photo almost looks like the moon rising over the horizon! But a mountaintop with some frosting on top it is. These photos were captured around Cascade ponds, a great place for some picnic or light hiking activities, not so much around November when these photo were taken, but during warmer months. Notice the lack of visitors? During peak season this place is usually packed with tourists and the like, great time of the year to visit if you are looking for privacy and solitude. That really does look like the moon at first glance! 😄 The mountain view is beautiful, and it sounds like a lovely spot for a relaxing picnic or light hike.
A great spot for all of this, including weddings and other fun stuff.

It looks honestly amazing, I love the photo of the transparent water with the rocks under it. As for the first photo, you're right, it just looks like the moon's rising, especially when you look at the black and white picture. It's so astonishing. Your position of elevation for the first picture is crazy too.
Was at the right place at the right time to get this photo, and it looks out of this world! Thanks for stopping by.

I agree with you; that mountain peak really looks like the moon rising over the horizon absolutely beautiful. The other photos are just as spectacular.
