Lupine

DSC00649.jpeg

Let’s go for another walk into the Community Forest, Cranbrook, British Columbia’s best kept secret. Literally located beside this city is the forest, which features 2,000 hectares (or about 5,000 acres) of land suitable for hiking, biking, and other activities. This is also where you will find various flowers such as the Lupine, also known as Bluebonnets. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful walk through the trees and flowers growing wildly. If you are ever in the area, due drop on by the Community forest for a stroll. Thanks for stopping by.

Definitely look better in colour - you can't go past the splash of purple against the green. What a magical place!

Lupins always provide a great burst of color to any landscape since their tall stems are clustered. The sharp details and natural tones present in the picture highlight each petal beautifully.

This is a very beautiful place to have a picnic, especially on a very sunny day. I don't know much about the flowers but, man that shot is absolutely beautiful. It's been a while I've seen you taken portraits shots with those bokeh effect. Also, a lot of tall green trees too. Honestly beautiful ro experience this first hand.

Yeah the community forest is one of my favourite places to go, if I'm looking for something easy to do and get in some forest time.

I had no idea Cranbrook's Community Forest was 2,000 hectares, that is quite the backyard for flower walks.

I would move there simply for the community forest.

That is beautiful! I love Texas Bluebonnets, such pretty flowers. I haven't been to Texas during a bloom in years now, but see them grown at houses around the neighborhood. The bloom I always look forward to is the California poppy bloom, and on wet years you get a super bloom, where you see huge patches on the mountain that are orange from all the poppies!

Beautiful pictures of the flowers and forest today, great job. That must be a great place to hike, a community forest!
