Lakeside Boardwalk Photography

DSC08716.jpeg

Let’s take a walk along the boardwalk. A boardwalk built to enjoy some lake views, built to allow anyone, irregardless of mobility challenges to access. Although I typically hike in generally rugged forested areas; this time it was a leisurely walk out here. Being the good hiker that I am, I did bring along my trekking poles for good measure. Nowadays, I never hike without them — ever. In all honesty, all ages should use trekking poles. It makes hiking a “full body” workout. What’s wrong with that? Thanks for stopping by.

I take the trekking poles with me everywhere. It is the best way to properly hike. It incorporates your entire body into the activity!

Love how you describe the boardwalk, it really feels inviting. And I totally agree about trekking poles, they make such a difference. Never gotten one but I see older people use them whenever they take walks in the estate.

Btw, your images are so mesmerizing :)

Yes older people tend to use poles more frequently, but actually everyone should use for a full body workout. Thanks for stopping by.

That landscape definitely looks like Estonian wetlands quite a bit. Beautiful!

Love that the boardwalk was built so everyone can get out there and enjoy the lake. I’m with you on trekking poles too; they turn even a chill walk into a solid workout and keep the knees happy. Mine double as spiderweb sweepers on trails, which feels like their true calling. Do you use rubber tips on wood to keep the noise and slip down?

I actually did not use them on the wood. So many reasons to use trekking poles, I only wish that I had started using them a long time ago. Live and learn. Thanks for stopping by.

I didn't even know about this until I visited Switzerland last year. Crazy trekking experience though.

It's an absolutely amazing scene, you spotted my favorite thing outside, a good bench positioned just right and empty enough for me to occupy it before someone does 🥰 beautiful shot

Looks like pretty well-maintained broadwalk!

How many years this boardwalk remain intact? How frequently does the authority need to change the ingredients?

That really is a pretty boardwalk path! Nice and easy with very little elevation gain. Trekking poles are always a good idea. They give you added stability and add to the workout just like you said. Plus if the bear spray doesn't work you have one last line of defense! lol

Exactly lol! I was thinking about that the other day as I was in the woods. I think I'll go and sharpen my poles now..
