Lakeside Annette

DSC06526.jpeg

A few more pics from the lovely Lake Annette. A small lake inside Jasper National Park. A warm-up hike you might say, to get you ready for a real, more grueling one. Kind of an odd lake we got here, this line of rocks and trail separate the lagoon-like pond on the other side to the left. There even was a “beware of quicksand” sign nearby. Needless to say, we did stay clear of that danger zone. The only other danger around here was perhaps the smoky air, thanks to forest fire activity in general area. Oh why oh why do we have to put up with that annoying smoke. Stay home and read a book, or go out into nature and put up with a little smoke? Easy choice. Photos captured last summer in July.

That 1st photo graph with the flat rocks look relaxing, just to sit there and glaze at the ocean.

A very beautiful lake with views of clean water and green trees.

Like one could sit on any of those stones and absorb oneself in the miracle of Nature, just sit and revel.

Thanks also to you who frequently visit me. I remind you that the beautiful landscapes that you always show in your publications are very appropriate to practice yoga. Greetings @daveks

The reflection of those pines on the water's surface is so surreal and when I gaze into its depth ( or shallowness), I feel all unpleasantness fade away. Those rocks over there are for people to sit and wonder, yeah.
Over and over again I say thank you so much for always showing up ❤️

You know, I am a fan of those black and whites! Do you ever see any fish in that water close to the edge? It’s damn near clear enough you could I suppose. I always like sneaking up on the rivers edge and looking for trout around here. They’re hard to spot sometimes, but with a polarized lens in my sunglasses, I can see them on occasion.

If you go up really close, there is a lot of minnow activity. Thanks for stopping by @bdmillergallery, hope you are doing well!

I wouldn't want to get into that quicksand. lol. Where there are minnows there are big fish waiting to eat them. 😆

Nice views, I'm glad you stayed clear of the quicksand! That would be a quick way to ruin your trip to the lake!

Great shot as always. Interesting that there seems to be more algae in the water in that part of the lake.

Always a good strategy to stay away from the quicksand! Thanks for looking.
