Iconic Landmark of Waterton Park
Every National Park or Provincial Park tends to have it’s own iconic landmark. For Waterton Park, Alberta, the Prince of Wales hotel is the one. Before coming here for the first time, any research videos I watched on YouTube, always had a segment on this hotel. Such a photogenic structure, surrounded by pristine mountain views. Although it looks great from the outside, the inside is dated and has that old building odour to it, but who cares anyways — it looks super cool! Thanks for stopping by.

I guess they keep the old looking as a mark, a characteristic... Or maybe just renew it would cost like hell, it's huge
How many people can it keep?
Good question. It is not as huge as you might think. Apparently only 86 rooms.
That's not much, I tought at least 250-300

Buildings and black and white really tend to go great together. Thanks for looking.
The architecture is impressive.
Lovely pictures man..
Yes, it was just so photogenic.
Wow, this is truly an extraordinary view, the combination of classical architecture with a mountain backdrop is truly amazing.
Absolutely gorgeous to see in real life!

Such a beautiful place. Imagine having the view of the ocean while you sit to have some lunch.
Yes such an incredible view of Waterton lake from that large hotel window table.
It's a view to kill for, indeed.
Pretty interesting architecture! How old is that building?
!BBH
Apparently it was built in the mid 1920's.
That shot lookin' out the window of the big house is pretty coo
Need to go there for tea someday bos.
Yeah that would be cool man
Sounds like they need to gut the interior and make it look nicer. It's a beautiful building with those majestic mountains in the background. I can see why you enjoy taking pictures of it!
I suppose a renovation would cost a fortune for that hotel, it may not be worth it, but who knows.
It's probably government owned, so nothing will ever happen! lol
I don't think the gov has anything to do with this one haha.
I like both! Black and white photos have this classic, emotional vibe that really draws you in, while color photos bring everything to life with so much detail and energy. It really depends on what you want the viewer to feel; each style creates a different kind of impact. You did great capturing those images 💕
Thank you. Not everyone can appreciate black & white photography -- which is fine, people are different. Thanks for stopping by.
