Ice Cold by the River
Would you consider -15°C cold? If you are a Floridian, then absolutely. If you are a Canadian, than possibly not. Nonetheless, mix in a bit of wind, and yes, Ice Cold it is. If you need to wear a toque and gloves, then that is another confirmation of Ice Cold weather. These photos were captured by the river, here on the Western Canadian tundra. If you could pick between living in Canada or in the Southern USA, which would you pick, and why?

-15 is cold wherever you are!
But I know what you mean. In my city, temperatures can drop to -30 in the winter and that lasts for weeks, and people grumble more to themselves than out loud. In our capital, if it's -5 and 3 cm of snow falls, they consider it a natural disaster. And the distance is less than 200 km.
Simple secret is too dress warmly, then most weather is tolerable!
Like those Alien eyes above the bench in the B&W
Like these👇?

Ha , yea pretty similar.
This is absolutely beautiful. Although I haven't really experienced snow, whatsoever, so it'll be really difficult for me to picture how the cold feels on the skin, these are some of the best pictures I've seen you taken
Winter photography definitely looks a fair bit different than summer photography. Thanks for visiting.
I love the black and white shots so much...it will make me forget the cold itself.. lovely pictures...thanks for sharing
That’s for sure!
Yes it is
Canada, hands down. I love the changing of the season, the natural beauty, and snow skiing. I dress for the weather, the lower temperatures are pretty tolerable when properly dressed.
I can always vacation in Florida. ;)
Yeah, me too. I may never leave Canada. Everything I want is here! But then there is the Grand Canyon..
Yes!! You are missing out! I have been over a dozen times when I lived in the Phoenix area, and I'm still humbled.
As well as Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon. and Arches National Park. The views will make you speechless at Zion!
Yeah, you are right. Gotsu to go.
hmmm I always like the 'Idea' of snow and indeed it's always great for a short time. But being back in the warm again has reminded and reaffirmed to me that I ain't into dat cold much. Pretty to look at........
When it’s really cold, I think back to the super hot boiling summers in Japan, which I didn't like actually. Allows me to "take" the weather here.
Oooooh I’d love me some super hot boiling summer in Japan 😃. I’m still on my daily studies. Keeping that promise to myself. Done over 2 hours a day for 22 days. At some point I need to manufacture a long trip back there somehow to try and build on what I am learning
良いですね!
Studying 日本語 can be a lot of fun actually. If you practise writing as well, that makes it more interesting.
The apps i am using have writing characters included and I am also doing it on oaper also as i think it will help more. Yup i am enjoying it. I hit a wall every few days and go back a bit so as not to get too frustrated and return to where I was and keep pushing forward. Enjoying it more now than when I began
Probably a good idea to study conversational 日本語 as well. It can be so different than the text book stuff. そう思います。
Definitely. Back in the Philippines we had a Japanese dive shop opposite and they used to help me. I miss that
It is really a great hobby!
本当に素晴らしい趣味!
